I'll catch the bride's eye from across the room, and she'll mouth "thank you" with tears in her eyes – not because something went wrong, but because everything went so beautifully right that she can actually take it all in.
I'm Erica Thimsen, a Huntsville wedding planner, and I've been creating those moments for couples across Huntsville, Madison, Athens, and beyond for over 15 years. My journey to becoming a wedding planner wasn't accidental. It was intentional, thoughtful, and rooted in a deep love for bringing people's dreams to life. I have been planning parties and celebrations pretty much my entire life and have loved putting the fun in and taking the stress out of all my events. But before I coordinated my first wedding, I immersed myself in every book about wedding planning I could find. Then I spent years working as a catering lead, standing in the background of hundreds of weddings, watching how the best vendors worked, learning what made celebrations flow smoothly, and understanding the thousands of tiny details that transform a pretty event into an unforgettable experience.
